Jenna and Barbara cannot compete with Edwards's kids wearing hats
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 01:18 PM by LittleApple81
in the shape of cheese triangles on their head (in Wisconsin, I think). On CNN just a minute ago.

Changed heading because of misinterpretations of post. Gosh...

2. Your choice, America.
Who do you want in office?

The supposedly moral president with two teenage, rowdy usually drunk daughters who supported denying the right to marry for GLBT people when his own vice president's daughter is lesbian.

-OR-

The President that has a daughter in college, and two young ADORABLE kids.

Up to you.

22. You may not vote according to the Presidents kids,
but you would be surprised how many people vote on looks. This is a very vain country.

3. OMG, that little Jack is the cutest kid EVER!
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 01:17 PM by liberalmuse
What a ham!

On edit: I can't forget Emma. I'd rather have these adorable little munchkins in the news than another day of 'Girls Gone Wild' . I'm SICK of the Bush twins and the entire Bush, 'rich trailer trash' thing going on.

20. Emma Claire
Down South it's not uncommon for us to use both first and middle names the way Northerners use just the first name. My cousin is called John Robert--always. Then there's the ubiquitous Bobby Jo, Billy Jo, Billy Bob (as in Thornton), etc.

It's actually a term of endearment for Wisconsinites.

8. During that clip did you hear the talking head refer to Edwards
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 01:21 PM by madmax
as 'Kerry's partner in crime'. I'm so angry I can't see straight.

Can you imagine the shitstorm if anyone referred to cheney that way!! And in their case it's more of a Freudian slip than a flip remark.

11. CNN is not much better than Fox
Most trusted news station - my ass!!!! Only if they brought Walter Cronkite out of retirement and handed over all of Blitzer's shows to 'The Most Trusted Man in America'.

14. I love Walter. I was spitting mad when Rather took over for him.
(And I was just a little kid! But there was just something about Walter, you could just tell he was a great guy who wason the up and up.)

that we assume that Walter likes the Edwards tots. :)

17. They are cuties
Having little ones in and around the White House makes it seem so much more 'real'. I see Kerry and Teresa as the boomers whose kids are grown. Edwards and Elizabeth, the family that started young and then decided to add to the fun.

21. CNN is worse, because FOX is obviously partisan
and people assume CNN is fair.

Our current corporate news media is the greatest threat to Democracy the country has seen since the civil war.

This is not hyperbole.

25. true, but every once and a while, CNN does something well...
Check out "People in the News" for this week- It features both John Edwards and Teresa Heinz Kerry. I tuned in halfway though the Edwards story, and found the part that I saw to be wonderfully put together, showing Edwards as a moral person with great hopes, dreams, and ambitions, and the courage to shoot for the moon. The story on Teresa was equally wonderful.

Someone remind me that I praised CNN on 7/24/04 on this board- at least the next time I start to rant about their 'fair and unbalanced fox-lite reporting'

They were adorable in their Cheeseheads! (Oy, what passes for culture in this town...)

The Senator had to stop his speech and laugh because Jack and Emma Claire were stealing the limelight from him.
