CNN Headline news talking about awol and saudi flight on sept 13
All day on their news cycle they have had a segment about the Saudi's and Bin Ladens leaving on the 13th of Sept. They are even talking about the fact that the jet chartered is the one frequently chartered for the WH press corp, they show Sen Schumer and another Sen asking what the WH knew, then they go right to the fact that the payroll records were found and that they acknowledge that the * did not serve those "months"

1. Really?
That's surprising. Wonder why HL news and not the regular news channel? Let's hope the others get brave and report it too.

4. I've seen it at least 3 times today
We leave the news on for our dogs, it pisses them off so all 3 Rotties are always in a "bad mood" if a Repukes comes in the house. Just kidding, I do have 3 rotties and the news does stay on for them for "noise" but they are wusses.

3. Someone needs to tell brian lamb about this...
because he asked philip zelikow if that movie "F9/11 was a lie" because zerkoff said no planes took off from the US when the restrictions were on.

8. As Much As I Love C-Span
That Brian Lamb is a worthless piece of shit who has no business being on his own network.

I have been told that there is a sign somewhere in the DC studios of C-Span that says something like if you care who wins you are in the wrong place. And then we have the founder of C-Span being nothing but a pandering whore to every Republican that sets foot on his stage and who seems to live to denegrade every Democrat he can find. Worthless piece of shit, as I said before.

9. The excuse is that supposedly late in the day on
September 13, private jets were allowed to fly.

I don't know if there is any evidence of this from September 2001, but that is what the Bush apoligists are claiming.

16. Late in the day excuse is hogwash and not true
It took a lot of searching, but I found the necessary information using the Internet Archive: http://web.archive.org/web/20011113031128/ntl.bts.gov/faq/airportsopened.html

On Wednesday, September 12, 2001, some planes that were diverted were allowed to continue to their destinations and airlines were allowed to reposition empty planes, but no new passenger flights went up.

On Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 11:00AM, airports that met new security guidelines were allowed to open and commerical flights resumed: http://web.archive.org/web/20011112234343/www.dot.gov/affairs/dot9601.htm

Private/general aviation was not allowed to resume until Friday, September 14, 2001: http://web.archive.org/web/20011108035728/www.dot.gov/affairs/dot09701.htm

5. Maybe I've just grown too cynical
but it would be better if they covered this on a weekday. It's almost like they can say they covered it but they really are burying it at the same time. Maybe they are trying to do better but stories like this just seem to get dropped. (Unlike the Sandy Berger stuff that gets repeated over and over.)

12. I am unfortunately cleaning out my office
I have to remove everything in my office because I am having a deck built and will have a nice sliding door that goes out to my new deck. The deck has to be finished by Thurs for the Convention Party so no one falls off the deck or I could be in deep doodoo. Pain in the ass, but can not complain because bottom line is I am fortunate enough to be able to do it. I canvased our neighborhood this morning though, 1st and registered 5 new dem voters

14. Sounds like a lot of work--but good on you for the new dem voters!
And thanks for the report--I never watch any TV news at all (unless you count The Daily Show!).

Hope the party goes well!

18. Please check Michael Moore's site
http://michaelmoore.com/warroom/index.php?id=4

It is broken down well.

Please note that the media is trying to disclaim F9/11 by playing symantics.

"The facts stated in Fahrenheit 9/11 are well documented and are based entirely on the findings contained in the 9/11 commission draft report, which states, "After the airspace reopened, six chartered flights with 142 people, mostly Saudi Arabian nationals, departed from the United States between September 14 and 24. One flight, the so-called Bin Ladin flight, departed the United States on September 20 with 26 passengers, most of them relatives of Usama Bin Ladin."

142 Saudis, including 24 members of the bin Laden family, were allowed to leave the country after September 13. Confirmed, Commission Report at p. 556, n. 25

Unfortunately, some news organizations have misinterpreted what the film says. Some have said Fahrenheit 9/11 alleges that these flights out of the country took place when commercial airplanes were still grounded. The film does not say this. The film states clearly that these flights left after September 13 (the day the FAA began to slowly lift the ban on air traffic)."
