1. Jail time but not execution.
If he is found guilty, I would rather see him spend a maximum of 30 years to life in a federal pokie. Executing him will solve nothing but I was never for capital punishment.

8. If he is found guilty,
If he is found guilty... he will also be guilty for the perhaps 15,000 (to date) Iraqi civilian deaths... the deaths of thousands of Iraqi soldiers, and the incredible amount of maimed and crippled American soldiers.... the punishment should fit the crime.... put him in Abu Ghraib.... let him ride around in an unarmored Humvee for a month or two in Baghdad.... ya know... let him experience the fruits of his labor.

5. Yes, absolutely
This administration would leap at any oppurtunity to execute one of its foes. If ANY member of this administration is found guilty of treason, hang their asses.

Sticking a needle in their arm is too good for 'em.

12. Death too quick and easy.
A special plexiglass enclosure should be built in the Washington zoo to display these fascists. Extra plexiglass rooms could be added as additional members of the bush* administration are convicted of WAR CRIMES. Small children should be encouraged to laugh and throw excrement at the criminals. A sign over the cage should read:

NEVER FORGET!!!
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU VOTE REPUBLICAN!!!

21. He should have some serious punishment
But how much do you want to bet if the Shrub is voted out, he will receive a pardon? I would be willing to bet money that if the Shrub is voted out in November, Shrub will do what he can to have a pardon issued.

Hell he's abused his power long enough for his rich allies; why not for his staff?

22. Even though he richly deserves to be executed
It is not how I would punish his detestable ass. Life in prison made to do mundane tasks or something that actually helps the people whose lives he's ruined. And you can't interrogate a dead man. There may come a time when old wolfie might need to clear up some past misdeeds committed by high officials.

27. Anybody remember
The Falcon and the Snowman - espionage case from the late 70's - later made into a film? Daulton Lee (the Snowman) was sentenced to life for selling classified info to the USSR. His partner, Chris Boyce, received 40 years, but escaped from jail, robbed banks to support himself, was captured, and later resentenced to a total of 65 years.

Today they are both out of prison. Espionage apparently isn't the crime it used to be.

Expect no harsh punishment of any kind for any member of the chimp admin. Too many friends in high places.

An aside - Daulton Lee was in my high school graduating class - as was repuke US Senator George Allen. Lowlife both.

However, I think an ideal punishment would be to give him a nice stick and a minefield to clear. I think of it as an nice public service assignment.

30. WATCH THIS VIDEO only takes 3 minutes
http://www.bushflash.com/year.html

Enveloped in a sentiment,
A sound that rushes over me.
Engage an impulse to pretend
I have a faith as pure.
Not forgetting what it means to dream.
Indulging everything.
Entertaining thoughts that I've the strength
Of those I yearn to be.
Cheers and tribute greet the saviours.
Reckless thoughts survive.
Anachronistic and impulsive.

And what will happen?
Will I dream?
I am too scared to close my eyes.
For a second please hold me.
None can change in me these things that I believe.
But I don't know what happens now.
I am too scared to close my eyes.

37. That's kind of a false dichotomy
and it's also one based on an appeal to emotion-

If Wolfowitz, Perle or anyone else can be proven in a court of law to have violated espionage statutes, then they ought to be subject to the same sentencing structure as others who have been convicted of similar crimes under American law.

International law may be different in some important ways, but last i heard, The Hague wasn't interested in handing out death sentences.

Hanssen was charged in a criminal complaint filed in Federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, with espionage and conspiracy to commit espionage, violations that carry a possible punishment of life in prison, and under certain circumstances, the death penalty.
