Will the Chimperor insist Nader be part of the debates? |
|
This might be a Rovian plan. They can be pretty sure Kerry will clean Chimpy's clock in any one on one. Kerry will look presidential, Chimpster like a dimwit. Lowered expectations won't help him this time around.
By insisting Nader is involved, Rove splits the progressives further from the Dems if Kerry objects. The Repugs and Nader can claim Kerry is afraid, doesn't support democracy, blah, blah. They can also use this as a chip to negotiate a debate format that doesn't require Chimpster to answer any unanticipated questions--ie they'll say no to Nader, if Chimp gets to see the questions beforehand, or no follow up questions, etc.
If Kerry agrees, Bush* is helped by the fact that the time will be divided in three instead of in two, so there's less time for him to screw up royally. Also, Nader would muddy the water somewhat attacking both Bush* and Kerry. Kerry would be unable to go for the jugular on Bush* with Nader there to contradict him.
Anyway, this is something that would not surprise me.

1. I certainly hope someone does.... |
|
America deserves to hear all the presidential candidates given their chance to debate one another.

2. I hope he does address the R-convention. |
|
It gets him our of our camp and it might backfire on the Rs. Win? Win?

5. The only way Nader deserves a place at any debate... |
|
...is if every other fringe candidate is invited as well because that is all he is: a fringe candidate.

7. Yep no notes, no microphones, AND NO CAMERAS! |
|
Then the debates can be "frank and honest". LOL!

9. Nader is pretty eloquent despite his gutteral voice ... |
|
Nader would tear Bush a new asshole.
Giving Nadar publicity could help in terms of drawing away Kerry voters. But they'd never put Bush on stage with two hostile debaters.
BTW, unlike Kerry, Nader is under no obligation to act "presidential". Nader would shoot from the hip and really rip George apart. Nader would doubtless attack the Democratic party, but Nader has no real rips against Kerry himself.
