Those are the two keys to winning or losing this election. If Bush can convince the majority of voters that he is the strongest leader to lead us in time of war and that he and the Repubs are the party of "values", then he would be difficult to beat. That is why John Kerry must talk about "values", and he has been talking about values. He must continue to challenge the Republicans on their claim to owning the values issue.
Also, Bush and the Repubs want people to think that they will keep America "safer" and they are better than Kerry and the Democrats. Kerry must challenge Bush's claim as a strong leader. He is a cheerleader. He is a follower that does whatever Rove and Cheney tell him to do. He is no leader. However, these are the two issues that most Americans will make their decision on in November, in my opinion. Above all else, economy included, this election will be about values and leadership. Because that is what the Repubs will force the media to talk about.

What specific "values" are you referring to? Everyone has "values." The problem is that we all value different things.

But if no one challenges them, voters will think they have a monopoly on "values"...
