I watched a town meeting with Kerry today. I thought he did a good job
It was funny though, I was asleep and I was dreaming that some english actor was talking about NCLB and he was wrong and he wouldn't stop talking. So in my dream I was yelling at this guy and telling him how bad the legislation was but he wouldn't shut up.
Well I, dragged myself up through several stages of sleep, woke up and realized it was Kerry I was listening to and I was reminded that I do not agree with him on that issue.
But I watched and listened to the rest of the show on Cspan and I thought he does a very good job in small crowds of people. He made some very good points. He should have babies around more, they soften his image.

1. I thought Kerry did a good job too. I was very interested in

what he had to say. I especially liked how he took those "four more years" the neighbors in the background were chanting and turned it around on them..saying, "four more years of what?". And then he preceded to go through a litany of bush's failures.

The crowd loved it too.

I thought he spoke well and I haven't always been a Kerry supporter but I want bush OUT and I was really pleased with this view of Kerry today.

I spent a lot of the day on c-span and seeing what they are doing with the Fleet Sports Arena to make it convention friendly. It's Awesome! It's cozy! And the Convention CEO, Rod O'Connor, is a Genius! http://www.dems2004.org/site/pp.asp?c=luI2LaPYG&b=92976

4. Yes, "four more years of what?" is a classic sound bite; great rebuttal
Reminds me of Toyota's famous commercial line, "Who could ask for anything more?" And then a competitor eventually came out with something like, "You can ask for ..." and they listed what their cars had that Toyota didn't.

That's when Toyota quickly switched to "Oh, what a feeling," or something similar.

"Four more years of what?" Kerry did well on that one. I wonder who crafted that line in strategy sessions, so Kerry could use it at the right time. We need more comebacks like that one.

2. Kerry was excellent
with that little baby! He is great in person. I saw him in person at the end of June. He's funny and relaxed. I hope a lot of people were watching c-span.

3. I saw some of his town hall meeting too...
...was very good.

But question: Kerry supports No Child Left Behind (NCLB)?

5. I believe his main issue with NCLB is that its unfunded
he has a different education than Bush, its not test, test, test. http://www.johnkerry.com/issues/education/

6. Kerry said he originally supported it but then the
funding wasn't there so nothing could be done about "NCLB".

8. Agreed
This man is sooo much better than the carping chimp of the lie-house. Kerry seemed like the honest, regular guy that I shook hands with 32 years ago @ a similar meeting out on your left coast.
