http://www.shoulder1.com/news/mainstory.cfm/67/1Remember this? Kerry can do many things by this time but I would imagine from my experience with this kind of surgery that throwing is not one of the things he can do well yet.

1. I have seen many pictures of him throwing around a baseball/football |
|
in the plane and on the Tarmac. That wasn't very impressive IMHO but that could explain some of it.

saying that he is not 100% fit for a long throw like that. Nobody mentioned this, they just made so much fun and it really pissed me off. I have a friend who had this surgery, admittedly there are degrees, but she still has trouble rotating her shoulder and her surgery was 3 years ago and she has done continuous therapy.

3. who the hell is commenting on his throw? |
|
Anyone who has ever watched a first pitch will tell you his throw was way better than average. no one gets up there and tries to really pitch it in there. Hell professional pitchers end up throwing the ball to the backstop. Kerry reached the plate on a straight throw, that's al he is expected to do and the main idea is not to make a wild uncontrolled throw and end up looking like a total fool. Anyone who is making fun of this is someone who already had their mind made up on kerry and is just looking to denigrate him.

I just searched for "george bush throws like a girl" :)
I think I added an "H W" in there for the poppy pic.

This is such a small thing but so typical of their bad nature. This crap just flows from their mouths and you would think that one of them, just one, could remember the guy is post surgical before they make nasty comments. Especially this kind of comment.

13. Oh, God no. Not this cutesy gay baiting stuff again. |
|
First it was Kerry and Edwards and "get a room, already". Now, this.
The people who traffic in this innuendo are worthless, pathetic slime.

17. If anyone makes an ass of themselves throwing a 1st pitch, it's on them. |
|
If offered the honor of throwing out a first pitch at my local stadium, I'd turn it down. It's been 10 years since I last threw a ball and I was not very good at it in the first place. It would be foolish of me to expect to be able to maintain dignity while doing something I'm not good at, so I'd pass. Similarly, if one has had surgery that would interfere with their throwing, or is just no good at pitching, they should realize their limitations and decline the honor.

18. It was NOT a bad throw...it was actually a strike |
|
if the military person had caught it. It had an arc to it but a MLB catcher would have caught it.
Stop EATING RW talking points...you're making it EASY for the GOP to ruin convention week.

21. NPR was regurgitating them this a.m. |
|
Said it bounced, and had comments from the audience about how it wasn't any good.
I think I should just give up on them altogether and listen to music. I'm just too addicted to news.
