Most starts really open up their checkbooks, but Dreys has been a little stingy. http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?st=CA&last=Dreyfus&first=Richard

10. Wow ... he contributed to Harvey Gantt ... |
|
... whom I was convinced was going to be the first African-American president of the United States. Then he lost his senate bid. Harvey is such a captivating politician ... wonder why we never hear anything about him.
Any North Carolinians out there who can tell me what he's been up to?

8. You must be thinking of his role in "American President" |
|
He played a slimeball conservative senator who wanted to take out the president played by Michael Douglas

17. He was great in that movie, which I have on DVD, BTW. |
|
He makes great use of Aaron Sorkin's terrific dialogue. In one scene with fellow repuke cronies, he admits that there is no liberal media, and that they are accomplices of the right.

11. Think, instead, of his role as "Max Bickford." |
|
That show was often cliche'd, but was better than 95 percent of the crap that's on TV now. I hope Bravo picks it up someday and runs all the episodes. I learned something about history or philosophy every week on that show.

18. aw, maaan, I miss that show! |
|
I thought I had it taped, but I screwed it up..... sigh.......
I sadly doubt that it will ever be rebroadcast anywhere. As I understand it, a show has to have 100 episodes before it can be syndicated. :(

12. It looks as though the most talented turn out for the Democrats |
|
Yesterday's Washington Post mentioned that Mandy Patinkin, among others, was up in Boston for the convention. We've got people like Richard Dreyfuss and Edie Falco and Bebe Neuwirth on our side. The GOP has...Wayne Newton and Bo Derek. Ahem. Notice anything here?
