Stalking Points: Also known as "bait and switch," Rethuglican attempts to divert any logic based discussion of politics with inflammatory non sequitur.*
This technique forces the opposing debater to "stalk" the rethug through a wilderness of inflammatory insults, labels and accusations with no pause for factual debate.

Well the rethuglcans are right on message, i.e., "the Democrats are in "extreme makeover." See the article below. My take on this is the repukes are freaking out over the extreme unity of our party. They're sounding a little shrill. I like what the Idaho chair said, "the Republicans are doing anything they can to not talk about the facts.

Democrats stress unity in Boston
Party faithful gather to kick off convention

BOSTON, Massachusetts (CNN) -- With Democrats converging on Boston for the start of their nominating convention Monday, party leaders were stressing a unified party, a qualified candidate in Sen. John Kerry and the need to topple President Bush.
"The overriding objective to elect John Kerry and John Edwards -- and defeat George Bush -- has united Democrats from all ends of the political spectrum. I have never seen it or felt as strongly as I do this year," Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday.
Edit ...
Republicans are also in town with a 30-member "truth squad" to provide a rapid response to podium speakers. They are borrowing the title of a popular television show to deride what they see as an attempt to repackage Kerry into something they believe he is not.
"I think the reason we're going up there is we're expecting an extreme makeover," Ken Mehlman, chairman of the Bush campaign, said on CNN's "Inside Politics Sunday."
