My selfish, personal reason for backing Kerry....
I just got back my results from the FSWE (Foreign Service Written Exam), and I passed. Sometime between September and March of next year, I'll go for the oral assessments.

The Foreign Service, btw, is the branch of the State Department that staffs the American embassies and consulates around the world.

Obviously, if I wind up a Foreign Service officer, I want to avoid the embarassment of * being my pResident. As it is, even if * is defeated in November, the first 5 or 6 years of my job as an FSO would primarily be damage control and repeating - over and over - to foreign nationals, "I'm sorry. Not all Americans are like that. REALLY!"

Also, my job would be MUCH more hazardous to my health under a * admin than it would be under Kerry.

1. Let's hope
that Kerry wins and restores those relationships that have been screwed up under Bush.

BTW, congratulations on passing the exam. Was it difficult? I think Kerry's father was in the FS as well.

7. It's SUPPOSED the be the world's toughest written employment exam..
but I didn't think it was such a much. I hear the orals are MURDER, though.

Yes, Kerry's pop was in the FS.

And I think that in ages past, since the FS provided a lot of the info the CIA wound up using, the broken relationship between the Pentagon, Intell community and the State Department is VERRRRRY dangerous to our country! Hell, Bush can't even make his agencies play nice with one another, how could he maintain decent relationships with other nations???

That's called looking out for your livelyhood using careful and sensible planning, and in your actions you are partaking in a right of all citizens of this nation regardless of who they vote for and why.

Call yourself selfish again and I'll

:spank: you.

Oh yea congradulations

3. When you go for the oral assments
you probably should avoid telling them that you'd ever use the phrase "I'm sorry. Not all Americans are like that" when talking about the president. Even this one.....not diplomatic.

5. Fine tune your sarcasm meter. The "sorry" line was a joke.
