How in the world is Kerry going to give a better speech than Clinton???? |
|
I got chills up my spine. Even with the usual Jack Kennedy intonations and structure, that was a magnificent speech. He always could talk in front of a big crowd, but Clinton was also a terrific President. I wish he could run again.

2. he doesn't need to give a better speech than Clinton |
|
he just needs to convince people that he will defend the country and do a better job overall than Bush.

I miss Bill, too, and as always, his speech was absolutely magnificent.
Kerry has his own style, of course, and although no one can "top" Clinton as a master speaker, I'm sure our nominees will do fine. We just need to allow them space to be themselves and support them.

After Bill set the house on fire, and compared to BushCo. all Kerry has to do is say "Send Me!"

That phrase captures what John Kerry is ALL about and he's always there -- ready, willing and able.
BTW: A hearty welcome to DU, DemWitch! Where ya been?

6. There's a very good reason Bill went tonight |
|
The glow from this speech will fad by the last night and then Kerry takes the spotlight. Clinton's speech got us rolling and we go on from here.
"Send Me" will be the theme (I hope anyways).

I rarely get emotional when a politician steps up to speak. Yet Clinton does it for me, time after time. I am filled with hope for our country.
God, I miss him!
