It's long overdue.
And due NOW, he's 80. We need to honor him for his foresight before it is too late. I remember my elementary school had a mock election in 76 and Ford won, and it took me a long time to figure out that it didn't count, that the national election was the one that really counted. I was so upset when Ford won at my school, it was my first political disappointment.

to impact human rights, health, global stability. He doesn't need it and would probably not want it unless it were something near and dear to his heart--perhaps special envoy to Middle East (if Sharon gets the boot) and there were any real opportunity for meaningful peace negotiations.
