Funny story (Lester Holt show)
Lester began a "hit" piece against the Democrats by beginning his intro with "Are local merchants near the Fleet Center angry at the Democrats for the tight security and possible loss in business?

Let's talk to Mr.(name), the owner of a local pub. Hello, sir?"

Then the guy gets on the phone with Lester and says how great business is doing, and there are no problems, and the Democrats in town are giving him a lot of extra customers.

Lester sat there like a fucken dipshit, he didn't know what to say!

3. I guess that's one reason why
the guy is unknown to me....how lame a premise to begin with! Sounds like an old SCTV skit with Earl Cannonbear "at the mike"...

FLOYD: "But he just said they were doing great!"

EARL: "I... uh.... (shuffles papers around) ... uh..."

FLOYD: "You don't have another story tonight, do you?"

EARL: "No."

FLOYD: "In other news..."

Ahhh, SCTV.

(And yes, calling them "stewardesses" is historically accurate)

7. Yes, at the Cable News Networks, the effects of
"affirmative action" are readily apparent.

Namely, they have gone out of their way to fill a quota of bloviating, right-wing asshats, far above and beyond the percentage of their natural appearance in the wild.

Joe Scarborough, for example, would be working at a Foot Locker right now, if it wasn't for this corporate based, right wing affirmative action, giving jobs to folks of meager intelligence, who nevertheless show the ability to, for example:

A) get red faced every time they say the word "clinton", and
B) display a shockingly different level of outrage -- i.e. none, when the vice president of the USA tells a senator to, quote, "go fuck yourself" as opposed to screaming from the rooftops with mock indignation when the wife of the next president of the United States tells a reporter to (gasp! the horror!) "Shove it".

8. Hey Lester Holt,
'better blame bush paranoia on the tight security anywhere in this country; the guy travels in a bubble, in five inch steel plated limousines, tanks file the road when he rolls, helicopters buzz or hover above guarding the bushes' golden boy, his minister of justice came up with the Patriot Act, somebody attentive to bush's paranoia created the homeland security act ...DESPITE LIP SERVICE TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH BUSH DOES NOT ALLOW FOR OUTRIGHT DISSENT IN THIS COUNTRY. HE CREATED THE FREE SPEECH OR CONCENTRATION CAMP ZONES IN THIS COUNTRY. IF YOU THINK BOSTON'S IS BAD WAIT 'TILL YOU SEE WHAT THE REPUBLICANS COME UP WITH IN NEW YORK TO PROTECT THEIR GOLDEN BOY. :smoke:
