Who will speak at the GOP National Convention?
Dick Cheney? Tom Delay? Henry Hyde? Pat Robertson? Paul Wolfowitz? John Ashcroft? Katharine Harris? Grover Norquist? Rush Limbaugh? Anthony Scalia & Clarence Thomas?

So many awful, kooky, unappealing leaders to be hidden away from the American people. They will have to hide behind the mask of John McCain and Colin Powell and other moderates that are not a complete turn-off to the mainstream.

At least the Democrats can let it all hang out. Hey freeple, if you're upset by Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy - shove it.

3. Will McCain even speak?
Outside of a short turn of campaigning for Bush, probably done solely to end discussion of him running as Kerry's VP, he's been awfully silent lately. And he is on record as not liking Bush very much.

4. I also heard Ahnold, Guiliani and McCain.
They are hiding the neo-con faces of the party.

Talk about extreme make-over!

5. Exactly...
Interestingly, the RW power base of the party would never let any of these people* actually run for Pres/VP because they are too moderate.

*If Schwarz could.

7. It just goes to show, they aren't confident in their policies or their
key players. If they were, they would trot them out for the entire world to see. We would see Falwell, DeLay, some PNACers, Pat Roberts, et.al. They must know the American people aren't behind them and that their conservative base is splintered between fiscal conservatives and fundies fighting for control.

It shows me they are not confident in what they have (not) accomplished over the last 3+ years.

Nancy Reagan To Skip GOP Convention
Republicans "don't seem too bothered by the fact that presidential son Ron Reagan will address the Democratic convention tonight. They're clearly more troubled, however, by the fact that Reagan's mother, Nancy, apparently won't be speaking at theirs," Michael Crowley reports.

Said RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie this morning: "I do not expect her at our convention."

Exactly! I am so sick of the republican bastards bashing the best president that this country has had the fortune of electing. I really feel like popping the next re-puke right in the pie-hole for disparaging Mr. Clinton, or any of our other great American Democratic Leaders. They can take their pseudo-religious-morality and pack it where it belongs: In a dark smelly place where nobody will want to look at it.

Who do they have to offer? Most of their literate supporters are afraid to take those pointy white hats and bed sheets off for the camera's.

I think the biggest controllable question is this:
"Who will the commentaries be at their convention?"

We had to listen to ass-wipes like bob dole, tucker carlson, victoria clarke, aaron brown, and kelly wallace. Even wolf blitzer was obviously biased toward bush against that backdrop. He kept making petty, minimizing remarks about the speakers. "Jimmy Carter makes a better president after he got out of office"

Well mr ass-wipe wolf, your man bush will be lucky to make a better door knob or shit-heap after he gets out of office!

gimme the job at the gop convention. I have a few comments that i would like to make. "Well Dan, you know what they say, if a republican's lips are moving, then they are lying" "oh how true Steve, and did you know that if they are saying nothing that they are plotting to steal something?"
