3. When it comes to my political junkie habit, I'm non-partisan. |

I'm looking forward to the Repubs in New York... it ought to be entertaining.
In my mind's eye, I have a vision of Wayne Newton introducing Dick Cheney now... I mean, who wouldn't tune in for that?
Republican Conventions are often more humorous than our own. Remember Pat Buchanan's speech in '88? :D

I fully expect to see a number of Dems on the commentary teams (not).
And I think the Buchanan speech was 1992....
(Molly Ivins said the real impact was when you heard it in the original German)

Any Republican who would participate in the nomination of that man would be someone I would pay money to see hung.

13. But then they are UNDER WATER! |
|
You don't get to watch them choke, shit and piss themselves. That's half the fun. No actually that's ALL the fun.

16. But you still won't hear them gagging and choking. |
|
Plus they'll be soaked. You won't see them piss their pants. That's like watching the "pan and scan" version.

Except for the fact that the Right Wing/FAUX Media won't be carrying it. Anyone know about any live streams?

11. I won't watch the whole thing, but selective spots. |
|
I will pay attention to who they have speaking, and choose those that won't make me entirely CRAZY! I will also be interested to hear what the talking heads have to say. I must say, I will be watching for blunders (and sure hope I see some)!

You couldn't pay me enough money to watch that. I'll be tuned into The Food Network or TLC again. They were my refuge during the Reagan funeralfest.

|
Seriously, the last 4 years have given me GERD, doubled my frequency of anxiety attacks, and alientated me from family members and co-workers, so it limits my ability to tolerate watching them on TV.
FAUX has not crossed my screen (except as a momentary image while surfing) in YEARS. I don't plan on starting now.

"terra, terra, served proudly, hate us for our freedom, economy strong, getting stronger..."? I've heard all of that. They have nothing new in their narrow minded, hypnotic little book of evil. What can they say that compares to "Republicans NEED to have the country divided"?

26. I always try, but I usually can't take more than a few minutes because |
|
their speeches really insult the intelligence of the viewers.
They presume their audience is made up of idiots. If I were a Republican I'd be so insulted that my party thought so little of me. I think the only Republicans who can stand the convention are the ones who think every other Republican is stupid and is glad that their party shares that opinion.
