Finally!! A retort! "Would you rather have Saddam Hussein in power?"
Bob Beckel on Faux just asked John Gibson and James Watt, "Knowing what you know now, that there were no WMDs, would you trade those 1,000 kids' lives for Saddam Hussein?"

They bumbled and fumbled and weren't prepared to answer.

1. YOU'RE GOD DAMNED RIGHT I WOULD!!!
He was a toothless paper tiger.

If I could go back and stop it all right now and save those kids' lives by not taking out Saddam Hussein, I'd do it in a heartbeat and never regret an instant of it!

7. Saddam was a pimple
Not worth one drop of American blood. And we've squandered over 900 American lives and tens of thousands of Iraqis who never meant us any harm. For what?

Was Saddam worth $200 billion? Not a Cheneying chance.

4. gee..why can't the war mongers answer such a simple question?
why can't they look straight in the camera and answer the question?

It's their war...why can't they own the damn thing?

bunch of candyass hypocrites. if you're going to support the war then have the courage to admit that what you're really supporting is that all the deaths were justified...no matter how many lies were told. admit you don't give a damn about who died...cause that's the true nature of supporting the invasion of Iraq.

don't sing false praises for the dead...don't dare insult them that way. for they died for lies...lies that these war mongers supported.

honor the dead by exposing the lies. honor the dead by going after the liars.

5. They weren't expecting an answer to the question.
Gibson started screaming about the 3,000 killed at the WTC, and blah, blah, blah. No one's ever really challenged them on that old chestnut.

14. Let's do the math:
3,000 deaths on 9/11 plus 1,000 deaths of American troops in Iraq = 4,000 SENSELESS deaths.

Nope, no mitigation here.

15. And don't forget…
not all of those 3,000 dead at the WTC were Americans. A good number were foreigners.

6. Not to mention, how many innocent Iraqis have died and die every day?
I'd bet they're dying at a faster clip than during the last several years of Hussein's reign. And with the country as unstable as ever, there's no sign of that changing.

Surely, many more have died than we lost on 9-11.

9. Condi & Colon
Both stated that Saddam was contained and posed no threat to his neighbors or the USA. I don't have those statements handy. Anyone?

Anyone with average IQ that has been paying attention knows that the Iraq invasion was about Euro money oil sales, ME control and US Multi-Corp dominance of the ME. Had the Hans Blix team been allowed to continue the sanctions on Iraq would have had to be lifted. The Neo Fascists could not allow that to happen.

The Neo Fascists are hoping that the US Puppet Govt. of Iraq will be able to subdue Iraq so that the US will maintain Iraq as a colony, move on to Syria and Iran.

12. What's depressing me...
is that it sure seems that the majority of Dems in Congress and Kerry/Edwards are on board with the rational about Iraq. They too are deterimed to "stay the ccourse." It was figured that Iraqis would go along with the USA plans. The Iraqis refuse to be colonized again. The US Puppet Regime is being seen for what it is and the insurgency is getting stronger and more sophisticated. Is the answer a bigger shovel?

18. Iraqi Quicksand.
Iraqis will not be subdued. The statement by Dumbass that all people want freedom is a simplistic one and not accurate. Of course, his statements are usually shallow and false. He may beleive his own crap and many of his cult may but rational people that think will come up with more complex conclusions. Many Iraqis may prefer a Muslim Theocratic lite nation. Many of Iraqis cities are leaning in that direction. The Sunnis, Kurds and Shi'ites could work out power balance if they tried hard to do so. Their common enemy is the US and Western powers that are attempting to dominate their resources and land. Iraqis have been colonized before by the UK so that history has not been forgotten. The resistance is growing to Western colonization and the US Puppet will probably be overthrown. The US may have the strongest military on the planet but Occupations are usually defeated in the long run, as I believe this one will be.

If Kerry/Edwards defeat the Neo Fascists, Dems will face the same issues regarding Iraq. I feel that eventual defeat is at hand.
