it's DEAN that shoulda oughta been there....
skull and boneses wins again. I'd trust Kerry's wife more than him, actually.

but I still rah rah for Kerry - anything to get that smudge against humanity and what freedom has been defined for us, off the throne.

Please promise you will give Kerry whatfor as well..... always test him, always ask the tough Helen Thomas questions.

o boy. I once did not like Clinton much (probably due to 'lubrul tv'), but he is a sane note in what this insanity now we have. billy, sorry I dissed you - I was just Ignorant (as so much are)

Jimmy Carter - always liked you and will forever remember you representing a really good college try at it, - the plans are not the of the populace, but you brought decency and humanity to the forefront. I would follow you in whatever you say.

Dean, you are the most qualified for this race.... you've got life and attitude and do not seem afraid to speak some unspeakables. Thank you for charging up the adrenalin for a democratic party that seemed to be too comotose for too long....

1. I felt sorry for myself becauseI had no shoes until I saw a man .....
...with no feet. And until I saw the man that should be the President speak last night, Al Gore. Can we know how much courage it took for him to give a speech without being bitter. He was the person that should have been accepting the nomination.

2. Sorry you're so sad.
Others of us are thrilled that the man we watched for years investigate and expose more government corruption than any lawmaker in modern history, a man whose efforts helped end three wars, a man who offered the FIRST progay legislation in Senate history is going to be the next president of the United States - John Kerry.

30. If you knew more about Kerry you would know that NOONE
has more dirt on the Bush gang than he does. It was Kerry who investigated and exposed BCCI and IranContra and he KNOWS and has seen the classified info about the Bushes that would take them down for generations.

Just as Bush1 could only lose to Clinton who knew about his involvement with the Mena drug dealing operation by Bush and his CIA loyalists, so Bush2 can only lose to someone who would make life as a Bush unbearable for decades.

8. Kerry has been fighting for issues that are common place to people
for a long time. Kerry doesnt agree with me on everything but I believe our dreams are many the same, and Kerry has the values I respect a lot in a president.

4. Skull and Bones? Come on people, lets get real.
Kerry is a good man, with good intentions. He is a politician who may not choose the right issues always or make the right decisions. He may listen to many of the wrong people. But he is not a conspiricy against you. And he is not at all like Bush.

two rich guys pretending to represent America....

two, two, two mints in one.

again, Kerry is the way to go to the get go and get back what you've lost, for too long. It's a baby step, but a good one.

14. Pretending?
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 09:36 PM by K-W
I dont think he is pretending anything and I dont think you should make such accusations without some support. I see no reason at all not to think that he doesnt do what he thinks is right, regardless of whether he actually is right or not.

18. Edwards didn't grow up rich
He made his money through hard work and the application of his own intelligence. His roots are middle to lower middle class.

Kerry grew up more privileged. Yet he didn't allow that privilege to get him out of the opportunity to serve. He also use his intelligence and hard work, his courage and vision, to get where he wanted to go.

What part of any of this makes them out of touch with Americans?

9. Yes, he is. But it was the D.C. Democrats who thwarted the
raw democracy of the people, just before Iowa.

That's OK for now.

In the meantime, we have to try and strengthen democracy from the ground up. That's the only way it works. Dean gave a great speech tonight.

11. I do want to be optimistic....
I do not mean to insult anyone here for their party loyalties....

I just do not believe in anything much anymore than my own personal space and influence.... even teeny tribal politics makes my head hurt sometime.

'I believe in everything, nothing is sacred, ... I believe in nothing, everything is sacred.'

23. Then read Barack Obama's speech again
Get motivated by someone who believes that a child who is failed by the school system affects HIM, that a senior who can't get medicine hurts HIM, that we ARE our brother's and sister's keeper.

Quit gazing at your own navel in your own tiny corner of the world and look up and around you to recognize your kinship with "the least of these."

And then get to work.

26. Here's the quote:
For alongside our famous individualism, there's another ingredient in the American saga.

A belief that we are connected as one people.

If there's a child on the south side of Chicago who can't read, that matters to me, even if it's not my child.

If there's a senior citizen somewherewho can't pay for her prescription, and has to choose between medicine and the rent, that makes my life poorer, even if it's not my grandmother.

If there's an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an attorney or due process, that threatens my civil liberties.

It's that fundamental belief – I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper – that makes this country work.

It's what allows us to pursue our individual dreams, yet still come together as a single American family.

E pluribus unum.

Out of many, one.

32. A vote for Kerry counts the same, even if you hold your nose while
casting it.

I'll be voting....and holding my nose.

We're "behind" Kerry, there are just a few of us who believe we saw what the future SHOULD be and then saw it taken away in favor of the status quo. Kerry has our votes. Dean inspired us.

that says pm sent or not. Or maybe its always been there and I am just slow. I think skull and bones is the stupidest of the stupid issues to go after Kerry on, and his wealth is another dumb one. I know some of you would have prefered other candiates and I had a preferance to Kerry to though I never had any real problems with him,
