On a scale of 1-10, how do you rate the DNC so far? |

These things normally suck - this is excellent. I did ignore some of the lesser speakers reading from the teleprompter. Clinton and Barak were worth a 10 all by themselves.

You've had home runs from Carter, Clinton & Obama. After Obama's speech, in particular, both me and my sixty-something mother said "If this party doesn't win this year, there's something horribly, terribly wrong with this country"

Obama's speech was one of the greatest I've heard in a while. It was so inclusive, so powerful, and dare I say it, inspirational. Clinton's was also something, though we're used to hearing Clinton give good speeches (but this was one of his best).

10. I'd like to be cheesy and say 100 million |
|
But I'll just give it a solid 10 instead. I must admit, the cynic in me is thoroughly surprised.

Clinton made opening night an 8. Obama made tonight a 7. Average is 7.5.
I wish Obama and Ron Reagan had been on the networks. Reagan's speech wasn't great, but it was effective and the symbolism is huge.
I wish Reagan would have talked about how Alzheimer's destroyed his father and how stem cell research has the potential to make sure that future families don't have to go through that tragedy. Personal touches involving the "Gipper" might have brought a few Repugs over at least on this issue.

12. I'd also like to say that I think I've just seen the best two speeches |
|
of my lifetime these last two days with Obama and Clinton. And...damn...I'm hard pressed to pick which one I liked best.
