This my first post here after many months of waiting around for the perfect moment to say something of interest.

So, here it is:

That "skinny kid with a funny name" kicked my ass. And that's hard to do. I am a bit of a cynic by nature, so it's hard to inspire me. But this guy did. damn, this guy did.

I cannot wait for Nov. Hell, I cannot wait for August when the local elections begin.

And I have to wonder; how in the Pink Fuzzy hell can the Re-pubs match that?

Oh, my god. This man is good.

*Now* I get why people have been raving about him. He's at his largest speaking event ever, and not only does he deliver, he delivers better than the "main event" did, with precise calmness, self-assuredness, and no tripping over teleprompters.

12. I am so proud of him...

I first saw him speak over a year go at our local Dem dinner, and I was blown away then. I was even more taken with him after I had the time and opportunity to speak with him. EVERY contact I have had with him since than has been simply amazing, and I am so VERY proud of him tonight.

I know some of you on here have been tired of hearing about him from those of us in Illinois who are part of his fan club. I realize fully that his allure has not been on display for much of the country until tonight. I can't begin to tell you all how happy it makes me to see him do well and to see you all feeling like I did after I first heard him.

Hope is an amazing thing.

13. I've have to tell you what Obama did to us..............

not long ago my husband said, we have to leave this country - this can't be our home(we are German green card holders)

My husband, a very serious physicist, sat in his sofa tonight, tears ran over his cheeks.
Her was so touched and said, it's so good to see, that finally the Democrats wake up and find their voice again.

We want to see this great politician grow and someday we will vote him into the highest office!!!!!

14. Don't leave.

This is a great country and Americans are truly great people. We are just in a little "funk" right now with the worst Administration in our history, but we will get through it and be better for it. It's really hard to watch your country become something that you are ashamed of and that's what happened to us. American will do the right thing in November, but of course we have to worry about them stealing the next election also. I believe John Kerry when he says he has lawyers working on the voting problems. They will have to prove they won this time and that won't be easy; I predict a landslide for Kerry and that's hard to cover up. God bless us all.
