Thank God for new generations
You guys are great. I don't believe I have ever seen it this upbeat around here - or on other progressive sites. I got yelled at earlier today by complaining that it was a say nothing, offend nobody convention. Well, forgive an old lady who thinks nothing is going to happen unless we're talking about "up against the wall, motherf____r". (Good ol Gracie)

And the truth is, I've just been disappointed too many times and watched the party go in a direction I don't like at all. But that is why nature replaces us every twenty years or so, so there are still enough people around to generate an optimistic enthusiasm. Truly, you're wonderful - keep it up, we'll get him elected and maybe we'll end hunger and poverty and injustice this time. By damn, eventually we will.

Enjoy.

1. Yeah, every once in a while

listening to the idiot RW pundits, I want to say (and sometimes if
I'm alone I DO scream) "up against the wall, F...ing M..f'ers"...
then I calm down a bit and realize that while they shape the
debate in the media, control the corporations and all three
branches of our government, have brainwashed 40 percent of the
population into not even thinking --- Oh crap... Ok, UP AGAINST
THE WALL YOU MOTHERF... calm, calm.

It's a good week because we are getting some messages through,
Howard Dean, Big Dog, and Barack Obama are getting to say what
we all know to be the case. And all of the idiot freeper pundits
in the world (or at least on corporate owned cable) can't silence
them completely... and I feel better.

3. We will and will do so over and over again for the rest of our lives
we have seen how messed up this country can be when we don't pay attention to politics, younger voters are coming out in full force and not many of them are coming out for Bushco.

4. I've been around here for awhile, and I've never seen this before.
Everyone seems happy, united, optimistic. It's truly amazing.

What a fantastic Convention so far, and thanks for having faith in the new generation, resist!!

5. 23 years old here
And I've never felt so proud to be both an American and a Democrat. I am almost a bit overwhelmed by how many great new faces are emerging--this convention gives me more confidence in our party than I have ever felt before. The changing of the guard has begun...the renaissance is just waiting to happen.

God, I just hope we don't let them steal this one away from us.
