Re: Obama.....I'm so psyched I moved to Chicago!
It's such a great feeling, after living in Nashville, TN and living under FristRule, that I'm actually going to have a senator, working for me, who believes the same things I believe. Anyone left of George Lincoln Rockwell who's lived in NAshville knows it can be a lonely place.

But since moving to Chicago, I'm actually feeling a sense of hope...kinda like when I saw Clinton on MTV in 92, fielding uncensored, real questions from people my age, and acting like a real human being. (And that yawn from GHWBush during the Townhall Debate made me feel confident, too: he read the writing on the wall and was now waiting for his chance to go home to Maine....)

I can't tell you how proud I am to live in the same state as Barak Obama.

I'm guessing that the Illinois GOP have all but given up after last night.

1. My mom called me the minute his speech his done
(He will be our senator as well!). We were both awe struck! I have the exact same feelings you do! I had high expectations of his speech last night and he completely blew them away!

I am so excited about his candidacy and he is the future of the democratic party. Thank you Obama for giving us democratic Illinoisians hope again!

2. Welcome to Illinois!
Is there any wonder he won the primary by 20 points? NOPE. We saw last night exactly WHY he won BIG! I can't wait to cast my vote for him. I'm so excited about him and his future. I'm so excited about OUR future because he will be OUR Senator for 4 years. It's ALL GOOD!

After last night's speech....the GOP are crying in their teacups...I'm sure. There's NO hope for them in Illinois.

We are happy to have you. Won't it be wonderful when both of our senators are dems?
