That isn't good enough not only for me but for justice, peace and humanity as well. You send his ass to the Netherlands to face warcrimes charges in the world court. I also want Halliburton completly dissolved and Cheney to go to the world court as well.

1. Me too.
Only my grievance is that Crawford is a phony photo-op place. Bush won't go "back" to Crawford, he'll sell the damn dump and move to Houston and work for some oil company or the Carlyle Group.

4. Just out of curiosity
What would you trade for that?

Health Coverage for America's uninsured?

Funding and reworking No Child Left Behind so it actually lives up to its name?

Saving Social Security?

Rebuilding the Safety Net?

I mean in a closely divided Congress such as we are likely to have; what would you be wlling to put on the table to convince Congress to go along with sending Presiden Bush to the Hague?

9. That's a good trade.
I'm sure the Republicans will be lining up to say "You want to send our last President to the Hague for war crimes and you want to cut military spending (I'm can only assume this is what you are refering to). Great, where do I sign?"

14. It would be interesting to visit a swap meet with you
Seems like your haggling style might be either extremely effective or a bit . . . well it would be interesting anyway.

20. Course once you get that far out
We'd all have to wouldn't we? I mean we all failed to prevent the war in Iraq. Maybe we should just build a wall around the US and declare it the prison of the world.

7. NCLB
It's a BAD BILL, fully funded or otherwise. It takes the Texas educational system nation wide, and that's not something the rest of you should be supporting. Kennedy was wrong on this one.

So I'd trade NCLB in a heartbeat.

11. I would have to go back and review it
But I do think there are aspects to that approach that could be salvaged--so long as standarized tests aren't the only measurement of student's progress.

But OK, let's say we switch it to the Every Child Brought Forward bill that does all the things that should be done to education. Would you rather see that bill passed, or President Bush in the Hague?

15. Different question, different answer
Of course I'd rather see our educational system fully funded, fully revamped to provide the range of educational services needed, and fully supported over private schools.

But can we please please please send him back to Kenny-boy-bunkport instead of here? :-)

10. I'm willing to give up alot of those things
Besides, whether Congress wants to send his blood thirsty ass off to the Hague shouldn't really be their decision.

13. If some Republicans were taken to task
for what they've done - THAT might instigate some bargaining.

People don't plea bargain BEFORE they've been charged!

19. why
I'm curious as to why there does not seem to be a movement afoot to impeach him and send him to the Hague.

His admin sees fit to serve as judge/jury/executioner on Saddam's gassing of the Kurds. The admin's oversight of the Abu Ghraib war crimes is tantamount to SH's oversight of "chemical Ali" in Kurd massacre.

It all deserves the justice of punishment.

And why the hell is it never even asked in the media why we are allowed WMD but random other states are not? This is across party lines; it is given in US culture that it's fine for us to have nukes et al but it's a world crime for others to persue.
