Canada prefers Kerry to Bush, 60% vs. 22%
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 04:03 PM by Lisa
Globe and Mail survey earlier in the week. Majority of all provinces think Kerry would be a better US President. Note that Alberta (thought to be the most "American" of the provinces) actually is similar to Ontario, at around 60%. The big surprise for me was that Bush got the most support in the Maritime provinces (37%) -- hope that Rick Mercer has something to say about this! I wonder if this might just be due to warm feelings for Americans in general, though.

"The lack of sympathy for Mr. Bush is by no means matched by a dislike for the United States, according to the poll. Nearly three quarters of respondents (73 per cent) across Canada said they admire American citizens."

Now if you excuse me, I've got some work to do -- telling 22% of the population who haven't been paying attention about Bush's record -- and reminding 31% of BCers that he doesn't speak for most Americans.

2. LMAO

I firmly believe the only people who like Bush in this entire world are those with a crucifix planted firmly up their asses.

4. Conservatives around the world must hate Bush for dragging them down too.
Bush is really helping unite the left and giving conservativism a bad name.

5. That is a very good point. As a Canuck I firmly believe that
we were saved from the clutches of a very right wing Conservative Party in our recent federal election because Canadians across the board are freaked out by the Bush regime. Bushco has suceededed in equating conservative with screwball.

He's giving them all a bad name.
