Try going to www.politicalcompass.org and see how you rate. We're all probably down in the left corner. Social and Economic liberals. Well I gave that test to as many people as I could and confirmed the results. Even my relatives and friends who consider themselves republicans and conservatives tended to be more liberal than JOHN KERRY! It shocked some of them. Sure they weren't far left, but the most conservative people I polled. The Fox News watching, Bill O'Reilly loving, brainwashed ones....scored at worst in the positive 1 range. Center of the grade. Meanwhile even kerry is more conservative than that as far as votes and policy.

This country is Centrist and Moderate Socially and Economically, but leans to the Liberal sides of things. If you ask people where they fall on that map they put themselves far more conservative than if they answer the questions. Even many of the liberal identifying ones do this.

This makes it easier for them to do whatever they want, which the majority of people would disagree with, and probably do, and the rest just believe it because if it's not liberal it must be right.
