All this talk about Ron Reagan as a DNC puppet...
All the right wing talking heads are saying that Ron Reagan was featured at the DNC only because of his last name and that it was just done to piss off the GOP.

But has it occured to any of them that Reagan actually feels passionately about this issue, and that the Democratic Party supports his opinions? I mean, should he appear at the RNC and give that speech? How do you think that would go over?

Its not like the DNC forced him up there. They gave him a forum to voice his opinion. He didn't even say "vote for Kerry", he ended with "vote for stem cell research".

"Whaaah Whaaah Ron Reagan is our lackey, give him back!"

Shove it!

1. He Wouldn't Have Been ABLE To Make That Speech At The RNC
Pure and simple.

4. I like that.
But telling them to vote for stem cell research would mean they have to vote for Kerry.

Some of them might find it a problem.

3. NO

No one is a Democrat or a Liberal based on a sound, analytical process of the views and our world around us.

OH NO...The only reason one would dare support Liberal/Democratic ideas or viewpoints is because they are stupid, have an agenda, are brainwashed, have a financial vested interest in it, or are being used by the Liberal elitists who want to foster communism on us.

So did I get that about right?

5. I am surprised "they" aren't yelling, "He's a liberal! He's a liberal!"
They love to throw that word around as an insult. Any bets Judy will toss it around before the night is up? "Ron Reagan's speech was spoken like a true liberal."

6. Ron Reagon said:
When asked about being used by the Dems, Ron replied, "I'm using them as well." He also said that he would speak at the GOP convention if asked. I doubt if they will ask. He would probably get booed as did Colon at the last one when Colon mentioned that he was Pro-Choice. Nancy Reagon declined after they kept hounding her to attend. Did they really expect her there after they rebuffed her request for Bush to change his negative stand about stem cell research?
