can people overseas watch C-Span? |
|
I'm curious, I know millions of people around the world are extremely interested in this election. It would be a shame if they only could watch CNN's awful coverage.

3. Don't feel so bad for them |

CNN International is actually a really, really good channel. Light years better than CNN in the states.
Bizarre, isn't it?

14. CNN Int. is really good at not showing what's going on in the US. |
|
It's not like CNN Int is as objective as CNN USA is RW biased. CNN Int is not so obviously biased as CNN USA, but they don't show the mess you people are in with for instance civil rights and the economy.
If Europeans would see the propaganda machine that is the mainstream US media, there'd be a lot more opposition to Bush and his war. We have our own propaganda that most people don't see for what it is, but we would recognise the US propaganda for what it is, because it is much more obvious.

4. Watching individual speakers on website in Japan. |
|
The question is, are the people back state-side getting any type of reasonable coverage for this thing? From what I hear, its complete media-whoreism. Japanese sentiment seems to be one of tentative hope that Dems will pull ahead.

have been watching C-Span, no talking just straight coverage. It is night and day to the other networks.
I'm really glad to hear you are able to watch it in Japan. Let the world know there are many many sane and decent Americans over here and we are getting ready to take our country back! :toast:

Viewers with digital TV in the UK can watch most of the Dem convention on BBC Parliament. They are relaying a live C-Span feed during the night, plus repeats during the day (!) Bear in mind that the UK parliament is in recess at the moment, so they would normally be playing repeats anyway.
Also, BBC Parliament shows a 3 hour C-Span sequence every Sunday at midday, including Washington Journal. I expect they'll be showing convention highlights this weekend.
