OMG, I Feel Like Such a Crybaby |
|
Four times, I've been moved to tears this convention. "Hope is on the way." OMG. John Edwards is so amazing. Add to that Reverend Alston's incredible testimonial about John Kerry, the incomparable Bill Clinton and rising, shining star Barack Obama.
This convention has been fantastic. I cannot wait for Wes Clark and John Kerry's speeches tomorrow.

3. I"ve been moved to tears more times than I can count! |
|
Why? Because what we've seen at the podium is the vision of the America we believe in, the America we love, the America that we KNOW USED TO EXIST AND CAN BE AGAIN. They are wistful tears in a sense, because that America has been overshadowed by the cynical and evil forces in our society. But more than that, they are tears of joy for the America that we know is on its way back.

and I'm not one bit ashamed... at least they are tears of hope and joy, not dread and doom like the past 3 1/2 years...

This has been an amazing week! I have hope again and it feels wonderful!
Carter, Clinton, Obama, and Edwards touched my heart. We are soo lucky to have them fighting for us!
I cannot wait to hear Wes speak tomorrow night! I know he's going to do an incredible job.
Then it's up Kerry to bring it home!

I was thunderstruck after listening to her. Unfortunately I missed Obama's speech and haven't had time to look for it on C-SPAN. :(

Sharpton, and Edwards with Clark and Kerry still to come.
We have talent on hand folks, real talent.
To be honest, of all the speakers, the one who moved me most was Big Dawg. Just to hear him and remember how it feels to have a real president. I choked up big time and didn't stop until he left the stage. I don't know if we'll ever see his equal again, but if there is one, his name is Barack Obama.

I am so curious as to what he's going to say. :-) And I'm cautiously optimistic for Kerry's speech. The man is a good closer, and I have no doubt he's been preparing for this for a long time.
