1. I agree. We should have kept Al.
But Kerry is doing fine, though. I just really miss Al.

4. I'm speechless
I can't believe they're spinning it already... :eyes:

But geez, he was so passionate, so open... talking about where he came from to where he is now

And I laughed a lot too, he has a great sense of humor -- really my favorite speech so far-- I liked THK too...

PS Welcome to DU :hi:

7. Which speech?
Not that it really matters. They're all pretty great. I did get kind of weapy the other night hearing him though. Knowing what I know now from seeing Fahrenheit 9/11, knowing about the CBC, about Bush's limo getting egged when he went to the White House, all of it, I just cried thinking about how much we've lost these last 3 1/2 years.

8. Thank You Mr. President
President Gore did well. I wish he would take his rightful place in DC and kick the war whores to the curb. Kerry should offer Gore a big job. Union 4 Ever

9. He's making me believe again.
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 10:35 PM by japanduh
I lost a lot of faith in my country these past three years, but people like Obama and Sharpton and their inspiring words make me believe again. Sharpton's finish about Ray Charles singing "America, the Beautiful" touched me deeply. Ray Charles has never seen "purple mountains" or "amber waves of grain" - he's blind. He thinks America is beautiful because he believes America is beautiful.

Lets make America beautiful again.

Thanks Al. :grouphug:
