If Kerry forgot to return a library book, they'll turn it into espionage. If he gives a flower to a little girl, they'll say he's a pedophile.

They'll drag out a bunch of gay porn stars who suddenly can afford to buy new Mercedes to all say they had affairs with Kerry.

They will do ANYTHING to keep him from being effective and remove him from office if possible. Even though he is a silver-spoon like them, they've gone so round the bend that they see him as a traitor to rich folks everywhere for staying a "socialist" when he knows damn well that ALL white men are supposed to be republicans now.

There's going to be an eruption on the Republican side. The country-club Republicans (like the guys who made Gingrich step down) are going to purge the neocons, aided and abetted by Republican legislators who are in terror of their seats--especially in the face of a new Attorney General (Richard Ben Veniste? Henry Waxman?) instituting investigations by the barrelful.
I think the Republicans are going to be too busy picking up the pieces--and sucking up to John McCain, their only hope for 2008--to do much about Kerry/Edwards.

15. The same thing they did when Clinton won

immediately start raising funds to impeach Kerry. They'll go after him on his Vietnam war records, show he was dishonest in getting the purple heart, go after Teresa's contributions to liberal causes...whatever it takes.

Remember, they hated FDR and Carter just as bad as they hated Clinton. There will be no healing until the GOP is beaten back to the minority party they should be.
