had an idea, we can have some fun with this
We've heard some great speeches at the DNC but some of us want more meat. The DNC has chosen a path of "clean" politics. While "clean" is nice its also good to rake a few people over the coals now and again. Lets follow the DNC and not mention bush* and cheney by name and write the speech we wished we could hear. I got us started.

Four years ago your pocket was picked, your house broken into, you right, as an American, to choose your leader taken from you. We’ve had four years of lies, four years of recession, four years of deception and cover-up the likes of which we’ve never seen. America is under attack, not by unsubstantiated, unnamed sources that Tom Ridge yelps whenever the current administration needs a bump but from this administration itself. From the returning soldiers loosing healthcare to our heritage, the elderly, unable to pay for lifesaving medications this administration has raped our treasury and healthcare systems. Our children attend schools without the funds for needed computers, tools for our educators to cover lesson plans, and in some cases, no heat or air conditioning.

Americans, we are broke, broken by an administration that has squandered our surplus into the largest deficit the nation has even known. All of this happening while companies such as Halliburton report record profits. Companies recouping on campaign promises made by the most corrupt administration in our nations history. Its time America to take back our nation, time to show the War For Profit companies the door, time to tell the pharmaceutical companies WE HAVE A CHOICE, and its time to send a cowboy home.

We are at a crossroads, its time to choose a leader. A leader who will not give in to big business, a leader who knows the needs of the working class, a leader who has faced enemies in combat, and a leader with a plan to reunite the world against terrorism. John Kerry and John Edwards have that plan. Its time to kick down the door of corporate owned politics and bring in a team with the foresight to realize the war against terror is not up to America to fight alone NOR IS IT A WAR FOR COMPANIES TO MAKE A PROFIT ON.

1. Funny thing
I've heard 95% of what you wrote and a whole lot of things you didn't write. How much more meat do you want than Al Sharpton's speech?

a speacial breed of politician. He speaks his mind no matter what the "rules" are. I find that to be a good thing. I was just thinking some of us want to hear more and I thought this forum may give us that chance.
