Franken interviewing Tony Blankley who immediately ripped the
Oy Yoy Yoy Show (they did a short version and went to Blankley right after) - Al explained it's a thing they do every day and Blankey said, and it's supposed to be funny, right?

here are some bits and pieces of what they said - moved pretty fast:

Blankley was Press Sec'y for Newt Gingrich when he was speaker of the house...

Al : you are a well known conservative face...you walk around here

Blankley: (at convention). . . people have been very gracious - a couple of glares but overwhelmingly cheerful

this convention is opiate of the masses - it's dulling the political reality - 95% of delegates are against the war but have a platform for the war -

Franken - right wing oversimplification - there you go again (paraphrased)

Blankley - Pottery Barn policy - break it you own it - well that stuff is so cheap it doesn't matter

Blankley - heart of this party is in the anti-war vote (Dean - got the most powerful reception)

Al and Catherine countered with there was strong response to Clinton, Obama, Carter, etc.

1. Good point about
the Dean reception. I suspect that a significant number of the delegates were Dean people at some point. I know for a fact that several in my own state's delegation were, even though they went to the convention as official Kerry delegates.

2. It may not be the heart of the party...
That is the working class.

I think it is maybe the spleen, though, and it is an organ you really need to be well. You lose it via injury, your body will try to grow another one from spleen cells.

Yeah, the anti war movement is crucial to the Dem effort. So
Mr. Blankley is correct, though it is nothing he should rejoice about, because those are fired up voter who tend to fire up others.

... are INCREDIBLY important and worth mentioning every two minutes by every RW slug like Tony Blankley.

For years we put up with pieces of shit like him implying we were traitors for opposing the war - now he wants to bring it up?

5. Great Point
That's the issue HE wants the Dems to run on. No thanks, Tony, we'll figure our own issues out, you braindead twit.

6. Franken does a good job taking apart the RW radio talkers
but for some reason he always seems to make nice with the RW whores in the print media and the stink tanks. It seems like he's good buddies with some of these guys in off hours. Hard to figure out.

7. Dean DID NOT get the "most powerful reception"
That honor belongs to Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Edwards. Dean gave a good speech, but it was nothing like Obama's.

Typical right wing spin.
