9. "...suspect may be Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani..."
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=586&e=1&u=/nm/20040729/wl_nm/security_qaeda_pakistan_dc

"The Pakistani president said the arrested person is Tanzanian who is married to an Uzbek woman, and who is wanted by the United States," the station said.

Al Arabiya said the suspect may be Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, a Tanzanian who is on the FBI (news - web sites)'s most wanted "terrorists" list for his alleged role in the 1998 bombings by al Qaeda of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

Ghailani was among seven people about whom the United States said in May it was seeking information amid fears of a possible attack in the near future.

Caught for a few days, but let's leak this out slowly, cresendo about the time Kerry takes the stage. This is such utter bullshit. If all we had to do was pay off a nuclear dictator a half billion dollars, why didn't we do it sooner, like, oh, BEFORE THE IRAQ ADVENTURE?!?

Damn, NO ONE expects the spanish inquisition!

Very subtle, these republicans.

And here I thought Al Qaeda was "marginalized" and Bush doesn't spend much time worrying about them anymore.

17. From Newsjock at LBN:
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistan has arrested Ahmed Khalfan
Ghailani, a Tanzanian al-Qaida suspect with a $5 million reward on
his head in connection with the dual 1998 bombings at U.S.
embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the interior minister said Friday.

Ghailani was arrested on Sunday in the eastern city of Gujrat
along with at least 15 others, Interior Minister Faisal Saleh
Hayyat told Pakistan’s Geo television network.

Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 03:20 PM by The Spirit of JFK
BushCo. has pissed off far too many intellignece people, such as this guy.. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x65058) and military people to be able to keep any US-Pakistan backroom needle-swapping quiet.

There are also foreign entities who are not happy to see their organizations and governments working with the US in this manner (or ANY, for that matter).

According to what info I have been hearing, somehing is coming out...it's probably going to be intelligence from India and one other country passed to the British media.
