but those are Army regulations, not Navy regulations.

Navy Cross
Defense Distinguished Service Cross
Navy Distinguished Service Cross
Silver Star

BTW, A lieutenant in the Navy is a captain in the Army. A captain in the Navy is a colonel in the Army, not to be confused with a lieutenant colonel in the Army which is a commander in the Navy.

6. Nonsense! It's not "frippery" at all. Medals mean a lot in context.
Medals for valor and for being wounded in action are FAR from frippery.
