1. All great, but Clinton's the best
We need to use that line in pushing for Kerry. It's what I have been arguing to all the repukes I know, he (as always) said it better.

4. Those are some of my favorites, too.
I couldn't have chosen better.

If I have to pick between them, I'd put the Gore, Clinton, DK, & Sharpton lines on top.

13. Clinton...
It's gotta be Big Dog, because he broadsided Bush's greatest weakness without uttering his name: Dubya is completely lacking in anything resembling wisdom.

Runner-up: Reverend Al's "It's time to bring our troops home and send Bush back to Texas."

15. Other: "Mr. President, the reason we are fighting so hard,...
...the reason we took Florida so seriously, is our right to vote wasn't gained because of our age, our vote was soaked in the blood of martyrs; soaked in the blood of Goodman, Cheney and Schwerner; soaked in the blood of four little girls in Birmingham. This vote is sacred to us! This vote can't be bargained away! This vote can't be given away!!

Mr. President, in all due respect, Mr. President, read my lips: Our vote is not for sale!"

Absofuckinglutely, The Best!!!

Thank you Reverend Al!!!

31. exactly! it defines the situation and sets the conditions for action
looking at the GOP policies, action, and rhetoric from this prespective one sees the entire structure of the republican strategy to hold power.

the gop uses divisiveness as a tool to divid and conquer its intellectual and economic adversaries by an application of misleading rhetoric that takes facts out of context and weaves webs of deceit.

21. Clinton for pure ability to speak
I liked Obama's speech for it's content and what it means for the party. I like Edward's speech for what it means to the campaign, and the Rev's for the power and Teresa's for the grace.

BUT

Bill Clinton is perhaps the best political orator I have heard in the last 50 years. When the others speak there is a certain tension as I wait and psychically urge them to do well; it's like listening to a skilled player attempt a virtuoso piece for which he or she is well prepared, but for whom it's still a challenge. With Clinton it's like listening to a virtuoso player with a complete and casual mastery. I feel no tension whatsoever, I can give myself over to just appreciating just how damn good at it he is.

I don't always agree with him (god knows), but he could probably read a grocery shopping list and make me weep and howl.

You can guess how I voted :-).

28. "Tonight, if you feel the same energy I do, the same urgency I do...
...the same passion I do, the same hopefulness I do—if WE do what we MUST do, then I have no doubt that all across the country, from Florida to Oregon, from Washington to Maine, the people will rise up in November, and John Kerry will be sworn in as president, and John Edwards will be sworn in as vice president, and this country will reclaim its promise, and out of this long political darkness a brighter day will come." -- Barack Obama

30. Does Music Count?
From what I saw, the best line was the young man playing Amazing Grace on the violin. Not a "line" spoken, but the music was good.
