You're a green beret, in the water in the Mekong Delta, under fire and
there's a swift boat in sight.

Would you rather have John Kerry, or George Bush in command of that boat?

Kerry turns the boat around, and under enemy fire, reaches down and pulls you from the water.

IMHO, had Bush been in charge of that boat, it would still be fleeing.

Why can't the other half of this country grasp the fact that Kerry is a man who will lay everything on the line to protect them?

1. Nah
If Dubya had been in charge, he would have been too coked out of his mind to see you.

2. I think they will...but
it will take some time and we have the time. The American people are just starting to pay attention. Watch!

6. I sure as hell hope they "get it" before there's no country to save.

3. We know what Bush would have done...
Sit in the boat and read "My Pet Goat"

Hey - that rhymes!

4. Bush would have been pulling a skier and drinking beer. Not in Nam.

5. Bush's boat would have never left the dock.
He would have made up a story about engine trouble or something and blamed it all on the lowest ranking crewman.

7. Bush would have aimed at the guy, gone to full throttle
and said "if you can hear the screams, we'll stop and pick him up."

A Swift boat has two Detroit Diesels in it--you can't hear yourself think over one 12V71, much less two of the fucking things.

9. Kerry has a set of brass balls and doesn't need to shove socks down there
to prove it.

We know that Bush would not have shown up to begin with. But what really needs to be recognized is that, no matter how exciting or dull tonight's speech may be, we already know what John Kerry is made of.
