Thank You John Kerry! Tonight I'm Proud to be an American!
Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 11:41 PM by Pachamama
Wow.....

I had tears in my eyes....I felt for the first time in a very long time a sense of hope....hope for my country, hope for my children's future, hope for my fellow American's and for the future of all of our lifes. I wanted to wave my American Flag....he made it feel like it belonged to me again and not the Republican Right Wing Neo-cons...

I felt a joy in my heart that I can only say felt "right"....

I don't care what the so-called "political" pundits and experts say about Kerry's speech, whether he went too fast through it, wasn't as great as Clinton (or whoever)....all I know is that he made me feel hope again....hope for my future and my country's future which I haven't felt since Clinton left office and the whole election debacle of 2000....

I know that in America anyone who was undecided couldn't have helped but feel that....

Thank you John Kerry....I will be so proud for you to be my leader and make me proud again of this country that I love...

3. You guys are making me want to burst with pride.
I've been a Kerry supporter from the beginning (I'm from MA, so I've been watching him for a long time).

I'm so thrilled to hear that folks are starting to see the John Kerry that I've known and admired for years.

I've been waiting for this moment to come, and it has arrived.

erased tonite....He will be a great President....

I also love the fact that when he looks at the crowd and presses his hands together in Namaste....I feel the peace from him for our world...

4. I really didn't know if he could do it....but he did...and it feels good..
And I see from your profile that your Gay.......I think his reference to the Constitution not being used in the campaign I think was a direct reference to the constitution being used re. Gay Marriage....

Let the Republicans try that...they will lose...I'm here in San Francisco and was so happy seeing all the people who love eachother wanting to make commitments to one another.

16. Repetition is good for the soul. We will need all of the inspiration
that we cam muster from now on out. We know that they will get dirty, but that will backfire. Don't let them bait you into sinking to their level.

7. I have said it before, and . . .
For too long, the Republicans and their unholy alliance with the immoral right wing fudamentalists have controlled the language. They have dragged the flag through a cesspool of arrogance and selfish bigotry.

They have turned us all into their consumers, in the smallest and worst sense of the term.

Americans are ready to be citizens again , in the largest and best sense of the word.

13. my brain works fast, i like fast talking
i thought it was a plus. then heard scarsborough go off and that and stated saying, he needed to, if he had gone slow would have been to long and slow and lose people., i liked the fast, big thumbs up for my brain, held my attention

why i can go speed limit, too slow and get distracted, i need a faster rhythm. just not all at the same speed

14. I was floored
Like many others hear, John Kerry nailed it for me tonight. I was ABB before his speech, and now I am passionately pro-Kerry. He really came through when it mattered the absolute most! He made me feel hopeful and proud of America (even though I'm not American). For the first time since Bush took office, I do not feel disgust at seeing the American flag but hope for what it truly represents, not what Bush hijacked it to be used for.
