4. A Yankee can win the south when his running mate
was born in SC and is a Senator from NC....thus the Edwards choice.

2. Hopefully that means a lopsided lead in Florida
I'd be satisfied if Kerry lost the south by only 5 points, which would probably deliver one or two Dixie states.

3. And after the SPEECH...........................Kerry by 58, I hope!
I saw it, then read it, and cried both times. Ditto with Edwards, Teresa, etc.

DAMN what a Party we've rebuilt in 4 years. If we don't do it, there's definitely a conspiracy!!!!

11. what does SOUTH mean?
what states?

is this meaningful if they don't break it down by states?

and those numbers, by region don't make sense either

Bush down by 22 in east

down by 7 in the west

down by 5 in the south

up by 5 in the midwest

how does that reconcile with a five, or two, point lead overall?

midwest can't be weighted more heavily than other places, can it?

somebody please explain

thx

12. The South isn't even the most important part of that poll
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 01:23 AM by RummyTheDummy
Not by a long shot. Kerry is ahead with men. That is DANGEROUS TERRITORY for BushCo. If it's even close, it's trouble for them. And if these numbers hold up....

14. I saw that too
Bad news Bushco! And did you see how totally lopsided the women's vote is? But what is up with the midwest vote? I swear I think they just fiddle around with which cities they poll so you never know exactly what is going on.
