Interesting quote by Robert Kennedy Jr. about Ralph Nader
I saw this quote concerning Ralph Nader from Robert Kennedy Jr. in an interview in Salon.com. Very interesting. Kennedy has been quite a dedicated and accomplished environmental activist and I think would make a good choice for EPA chief under Kerry. I like what he sees as the solution to corrupt politics in America today, especially the part about resurrecting the fairness doctrine.

About Ralph Nader-

"It's like talking to an insane person, he's just not susceptible to reason. He's demonstrably made it worse in this country by giving us George W. Bush and he's trying to do it again. His supporters are seduced by his critique of the political system, which is basically correct. It's true that the Republican Party is about 90 percent corrupt and the Democrats are about 50 or 60 percent. But he's wrong that he's the solution. The solution is campaign finance reform and resurrection of the fairness doctrine so the public can take back control of the media. And those solutions can only come from within the Democratic Party."

6. If

Bobby Kenney Jr becomes Sec of Interior I will send a letter of support to President Kerry.

We are 93 days from that liklihood.

4. Lovely bit of wisdom, that. thank you for the post. I missed the comment
On that sound logic, I shall come gently down from the evening's excitement and head off to my little cot.

Thank you for giving my old mind something good to kick around while I sleep tonight.

Tomorrow, we roll up ours sleeves, yet again, and all do our bits to make it happen.

strength and peace to you, Ruffhowse.

And to us all. And to us all.

7. RFK, Jr. for FCC Chairman!
He'd be great. He's certainly smarter than Powell's kid, and has as much broadcasting experience.

The very first act we must take when we win both Congress and the White House is to restore the Fairness Doctrine.

We had a long, long thread on that two years ago, and many, many of us pledged to make that come true.

It is simply essential to democracy.
