The Kennedy's missed the environmental movement. JFK was working on civil rights and he got whacked...Bobby was working on ending a war and he got whacked....Ted is a good vote, but not a real champion.
Bobby Kennedy Jr is a champion for the environment. If he ran...I'd give everything I had.

He's a great guy. But he was a heroin addict for a number of years and got himself in lots of trouble. That's the only reason you don't hear more from him. He's a helluva person though, and you can't help but love the guy, especially given the good things he works on.

I know what you're thinking. But there's a vast difference between a cocaine snorter, seen as a party habit a shade worth than being a drunk, on the one hand, and being a heroin addict on the other.
Heroin is seen as a death-grip drug, and addiction to it is seen as a sign of a permanent, incurable character flaw.
Believe me, RFK, Jr. is well aware of this.

His thing is the enviroment.
I hadn't heard much at all from him until Chimpy started screwing things up.
I hold a great deal of admiration to RFK for dedicating his life to a cause he believes in, when, if he wanted to, he could have retired at 13.
