Props to Bill Richardson
an excellent convention, on every level.

Too bad we don't have a media who will cover it anymore.

1. Go, Gov!
He was great on The Daily Show, too! Yay, Big Bill. You show 'em what a REAL governor is like.

2. yup
he did a great job. Considering everything he had to deal with, especially securitywise, it was a fantastic convention. The speakers each night were fantastic, the daytime speakers were great, the visuals were great, and he made himself available to all the media.

He did a remarkable job.

3. Viva Bill Richardson!
Today I heard Richard Holbrooke bitchslap Wolfie around, again...and thought about the firepower a Kerry administration has in the State Department. There's Holbrooke who brought peace to Bosnia then Kosovo, Dennis Ross who is one of the few honest brokers in the Israel/Palestinian mess and Richardson is the ones the North Koreans talked to about their nuclear situation.

I can see a Kerry administration turning around foreign affairs in rather quick order just on the past work of these and other great diplomats. We musn't underestimate the great work Clinton and his team did compared to this regime.

Honestly, I'm glad Bill's the governor of New Mexico, as his popularity is sure to help this fall and I'm sure could help in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada as well...all winable now.

Yes, he deserves tremendous credit for keeping the convention harmonious, on time and on message. You couldn't have asked for more. The pressure's on the GOOP now to keep their convention civil...let's see if that can happen.

8. I don't know who made the decision but
some of the speakers leading up to Kerry depressed me. Biden, and then Lieberman saying we "liberated Iraq". I felt battered by the time Kerry got up there. Part of me just wanted to turn off the TV. It's good I didn't because Kerry was quite good. It almost felt like a good cop, bad cop scenario.

Lieberman in particular made me feel sick. Why wasn't Kucinich in that prime spot?
