4. Yes, she once described Kerry as being 'like a caged hamster'
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 02:15 AM by jpgray
It was pretty over-the-top, even keeping in mind the way our media usually are.

9. Hey, imitation is the highest form of flattery--the hamsters are united!
Incidentally here's the article--what a weird non-sequitur that simile was in the context of the piece! Wilgoren definitely needed to attend a few workshops on figurative language. Caged hamsters restless on the road? Was Kerry travelling in a giant clear plastic ball? :D

Behind the Scenes, a Restless and Relentless Kerry
By JODI WILGOREN

Published: June 13, 2004

OSTON, June 12 — Like a caged hamster, Senator John Kerry is restless on the road. He pokes at the perimeter of the campaign bubble that envelops him, constantly trying to break out for a walk around the block, a restaurant dinner, the latest movie.

8. I can hear it now....GOP: "Well if you're a hamster you're safe!"

....or something to that effect.

But I really loved that story and I think most people did too. And it sure beats Dubya's firecracker frogs story.
