Matthews' Show is Great Tonight-So Far
Chris Matthews' show tonight is great! Meachem and Cook are positive, insightful ... and I think it is pretty obvious that Chris Matthews likes Kerry.

It makes me feel good to hear this kind of talk and analysis.

I do think Kerry is on a roll to win.

1. Don't get too smug.
95 days is a long-assed time.

We got lots of work to do. Smug ain't part of it.

he received too much flak.

tweety said...this is too substanstial for me..or some such dribble to mean that he would rather be talking about Kerry's hair.

4. Tweety used to work for Tip O'Neil l (sp?)
His political roots are in Boston politics; however, if he thinks the ratings would improve, he would give his grandmother an appendectomy on air with no anesthetic. He knows NO loyalty.

Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 06:55 PM by Reciprocity
I lost respect for Matthews over his commentary of Al Sharpton speech. The only thing that was missing was the burning cross and white sheets.

12. If he doesn't watch himself...
They are gonna have to send him back to "The Malaria Ward". You know, the one that treats malaria with Thorazine suppositories and Haldol injections.

You know, the place he was the last time he got "Malaria".

Howard Fineman was also despicable-he said that Sharpton's speech
'insulted black people'. Did you see Jon Stewart on the Daily Show
last night mocking the coverage of the speeches?

22. I lost respect for Matthews during the Wellstone debacle.
When Mondale agreed to run Matthews laughed at the notion that he was not eager to run, saying that Mondale was " horny " to run for Wellstone's seat. What an ass.

17. Chris can be "in love" with Kerry, for all I care

I will never forget, nor forgive, his disrespectful, snide coverage of OUR convention. Some of his more brilliant observations: Do you think America is ready to accept a First Lady who speaks with an accent? Let's not talk about the issues, that's too much substance for me. Kerry's speech was RUSHED.

He's an ego-maniac, just like his buddy, Imus...so, they can both vote for Kerry, then go kiss my royal ass.

25. Did you consider that Imus and now maybe Tweety might be
set-ups? Thousands of people have heard Imus say he is going to go with Kerry. In the last week before the elections, he could 'find' some reason to go back to Bush - and thousands of lemmings will follow.

Anyone can say they are going to support someone and then revert. But, not everyone has the airwaves to influence thousands in the right wing war effort. I don't trust Imus, Tweety, Fineman or any of them. The only thing I will concede is that some were genuinely pleased with Kerry last night.

Ohh! Wouldn't you hate to be manipulated with mind games like that?
