A good Kerry day in Central Minnesota

Walking down the street at noon, a man was standing down town handing out Kerry literature. (He did say most of the folks he passed said they were for Bush but it was good to see him out there.) Then after my lunch meeting the person who I was with said she had the rest of the afternoon off and was going to volunteer at the Democratic Headquarters in town. Then biking to pick up my car from its oil change I passed a "Sheet Metal Workers for Kerry" bumpersticker. At Target, I noticed a car stop behind mine (at first I thought they were plotting to steal my bike) but then realized they were reading my bumperstickers, but then I happened to walk past their car and saw all their bumper stickers including anti-Bush stickers. A pretty remarkable day after a remarkable week.

1. I had a convention party

yesterday and all my decorations outside are still up this morning and I have 3 people stop and knock on my door to ask for signs and bumper stickers.

2. Somebody up the street from us hired an "In & Out Burger" truck to

cater their convention party. Cars parked for a couple of blocks. What a cool idea! I bet they had fun.
