Is the Manchurian Candidate about the Caryle Group?
And is Meryle Steep playing Margaret Thatcher? A few observations from the Keith Oberman show?

2. She said in an interview she modeled her character after
Peggy Noonan and Karen Hughes.

I'm serious but don't have a link.

Her statements were on the dreaded "D" report last week.

Conservatives started buzz that Meryl Streep's manipulative mom is actually Hillary Rodham Clinton, but Streep herself says that she based her right-wing zealot on people like former Republican speech writer Peggy Noonan and onetime Bush adviser Karen Hughes. But even as she humanizes the too-ambitious-shrew cliche, Streep can't hold a candle to Angela Lansbury's bone-chilling turn as the ultimate political stage mother back in 1962.

Stuff they did in 1954---and godnoze what they have been doing SINCE then.

According to CIA researcher John Marks, who wrote "The Search for the Manchurian Candidate: The CIA and Mind Control; The Secret History of the Behavioral Sciences" (and others of his CIA books), the CIA's Morris Allen, on Feb 19, 1954 hypnotized one secretary to fall asleep and remain sleeping until he, and only he, awakened her. Then he hypnotized another secretary to try to awaken her, and if she failed to wake, become so enraged as to kill her. He left an unloaded gun nearby, and not only did the second woman "shoot" the sleeping woman, but she could not recall the incident and denied shooting anybody.

edited for goofy typos

That said they were not even attempting to disguise the fact that they were portreying Halliburton. Right up to the "NO BID" contracts.
