I think this is BS, but a co-worker claims "arabs" and a HVT have come ... |
|
...across the border with Mexico. The HVT was supposably a female terrorist, and was arrested. Snopes was no help. This sounds like AM radio stuff to me. Any insights?

4. High-Value Target. Another wonderful acronym for our modern world. |
|
It means a POI. Oops. That's Person of Interest.
Man, rightards have the best Orwellian terms, eh?
Anyway, an HVT would be a terror suspect of particular interest. When you see HVT, you should have a sudden feeling of dread and a desire to vote repug.

about arresting a suspected al Qaeda operative on the Mexican border. She was female, but I thought it said she wasn't Arab. Since this happened during the convention (even though the arrest supposedly happened weeks ago), I figured it was just a Repuke way of drawing attention away from the convention.

5. I heard that same thing--I don't know |
|
what country the woman was from--they said that she was traveling on a South African passport. Then they said they had found a pile of SA passports in London.
However---I have heard nothing else about this woman (and it has been a while) if they had of really caught a big fish--wouldn't they be talking about it? I am not sure what is going on.

6. If that's true it would be significant |
|
I remember hearing or reading something about it as well - some kind of capture or something.
Funny how quickly it was forgotten.

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/US/border_worries_040730-1.htmlSounds like one of those tales that magnifies with every telling. Let it go another week and it'll be Osama himself eating a fish taco in San Diego with an army of holy jihadists.

8. We'll just have to build a 60 ft wall along the border |
|
that'll do it.
Oh yeah and one along the Canadian border too.
