Two items of interest which need more research
1. I thought it was in the CHB article but it isn't. It's an
old piece of long-distance psychoanalysis of *. A named
professional concludes that * is a sadist.

This explains a lot. Firecracking the frogs as a kid.
Photo-ops with programs which hours later have their funding
pulled. The entire mystifying performance with military
benefits. The Texas executions. The dalliance with Enron.
The campaign against McCain.

2. Another old canard (I saw this coming in June 1999) is *'s
morbid fear of horses. For a Texas cowboy, he spends
astonishingly little time (let's say no time) in the company
of horses.

Maybe JFK can bring a horse to a debate.

1. "cannard" conotes untrue. Is the horse thing real, or not real?
As I recall Bush canceled a horse riding photo op w/ V. Fox on a Mexican trip. (That's the only annecdote I heard.)

2. "Canard", I think, is French for card, as in playing card
Possibly "false-card". Should have used a different
word. You have the same info. The proper question is,
"Is * scared of horses or not?"

3. Here I'll help you with both of them right now
I am not so sure anyone can completely psychoanalyze bush with any accuracy from a long distance, but I do believe he is a "dry drunk" (stopped drinking but did not really recover from alcoholism) and uses frantic, frenetic workouts to replace drinking. I've seen that time and time again in dry drunks. They also sometimes drink "just a little" then work out VERY VERY hard, thinking they can work/sweat it off. Not unusual at all.

He might take Antabuse, who knows?

But personally I think he is emotionally stunted, not having much asked of him in the realm of personal responsibility growing up. Seems to have an attitude of entitlement and seems honestly not to truly give a shit about anyone outside his circle of friends and people who can do things for him.

Though the responsibility ultimately falls on him for his actions as President, I do think he is overhandled, somewhat out of necessity, by the people around him (necessity=he is incapable of handling a lot of it himself, for various reasons) and a lot of decisions are made for him and simply told TO him. Note: this does not in any way, shape, or form let him off the hook. The buck is supposed to stop with him.

As for being a sadist, who knows? I can certainly see it, but then I can also see it in many in his administration.

The horse thing? Who really cares about that? It is kinda funny, but die-hard bush supporters aren't gonna give a shit and for people on the fence, it's probably not serious enough to push them over either way.

I've never seen him on one for the record.
