CNN.COM making up for lost time?
Edited on Sat Jul-31-04 04:43 AM by NeoConsSuck
It must have killed them that they had to give four days of coverage to the DemocRATS.

Since Friday morning, they've had nothing but the chimp plastered on their home page.

Are they going to give Kerry the same makeup time after four days of Repuke convention coverage?

1. What lost time?
They used those four days to throw dirt at each and every word said at the Democratic Convention. They even knowingly broadcast the balloon swear words knowing they would be fined, but they just had to keep promoting BushCo.

4. By the way...
..have you seen the promos for the "candidate specials" on this weekend. Here's the "liberal media" at it's best.

The Kerry show: Music loud, percussive. Copy delivered with great intesity, asking questions like "Who is John Kerry?" "What do people say about him?"

Bush Show: Music soft, soothing. Announcer calm, subdued copy factual. "George W. Bush" His life, his friends, etc. etc.

Understand these are from memory, but even I, who am usually oblivious to this sort of thing, was struck by how Bush-centric the promos were.

2. They're already touting the Repub Convention
as an exciting event..."only" a MONTH early. They are also alluding to the 'fact' that a convention in Boston is OK, but the real convention, with all the security measures, the pResident, and his Cabinet, and all the 'superstars' who accompany incumbents, is forthcoming...onCNN

yup, guess it wasn't enough for CNN to run the worst, most biased pro GOP coverage of the Democratic convention of the cable networks but now they have a large picture of Bush on the front page as if the Dem convention didn't just end, the only presence of Kerry is a tiny space on the right with a picture of him taken from his boyhood.

And here is the very patriotic sounding and warm and fuzzy copy below the picture of Bush:

'President Bush is on the campaign trail this weekend aiming to unveil the broad themes of his agenda for the next four years. The Bush campaign says the president is using a new "we've turned a corner" campaign theme during stops in America's heartland.'

I can only repeat what another poster very aptly said during past few days - "Die CNN, Die!!"
