1. This was the same place where Bush recently touted Timken steel
for being a model company in making the American economy strong. Shortly afterward, the company announced it was moving some or all of its 1300 jobs to foreign countries.

I detect some ass-covering will be announced here, where the company will now say that it will keep at least some of the jobs here in order to make Bush look less foolish. Then, after the election, let's see what the company does.

3. The irony... he does 'connect' with crowds on the stump
that's one thing he is good at...

The 'ironic' part... his handlers won't let him anywhere near a 'real' crowd.

Advantage Kerry... I was impressed by the HUGE crowds in Pennsylvania

20. wow, maybe this deserves it's own thread...
snip>
An endorsement form provided to the Journal by Random says: "I, (full name) ... do herby (sic) endorse George W. Bush for reelection of the United States." It later adds that, "In signing the above endorsement you are consenting to use and release of your name by Bush-Cheney as an endorser of President Bush."

snip>
A Journal reporter, who is a registered Democrat, called to inquire about a ticket Thursday afternoon. He was asked for his name, address and driver's license number but was not told over the telephone that he would need to sign any endorsement form. He got the news after arriving at the Bush-Cheney office.

>snip

Another Journal employee, who is a registered Republican, visited the office Thursday morning and got a ticket without being asked to sign the form.

You are not allowed to lay eyes on someone from the administration without pledging loyalty. How can they get away with this? MKJ

9. Loved Kerry giving the # of people in the crowd

Saw Kerry/Edwards speaking to a crowd. It was last night and Kerry said something like,"What a crowd! It's 9 oclock at night and there are 12 -15 thousand people here!"

We should always give the big numbers and all the info the whores won't give.

He's talking about Kerry not supporting the troops, and he has a look on his face that is positively insane. Is anybody watching this??

I'm sorry for the cube rats, but there just is no humanly way to describe the sheer demonic look that is on this bastards face right now.

If it were not for that $87B vote, what would Bush* have? Damn, damn, damn.

14. Tera, Tera, Tera,
It's unbelievable. This area has been decimated over the last four years and at least 2/3 of the speech so far has been fear-mongering over terror. Please "Mr. President", no ideas on the economy or domestic policy or keeping jobs in America. Just protect us from the Tera-ists. Oh, and tell us more about your fiscal responsibility and who it is exactly who'll be footing the bill for your deficit.

How could enough people in this town to fill the Civic Center still support this guy?

:puke:

16. no stage presence
Did you notice his neck poppong out of his "turtle shell" every time he tried to emphasize certain points of his speech. People in the background were not enthused. They should show the outside crowd as the bus pulls up to the "event".

26. As a follow-up to the Canton speech
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 10:00 AM by ok_cpu
Here's what supporters of * had to say

1) They're concerned with the viability of social security.

2) People are having health insurance benefits dropped by employers.

3) * hasn't had a "chance" to focus on national issues due to terra-ism.

4) They're concerned about the area's unemploment troubles.

But he'll "really have to drop the ball in an extreme way, say in Iraq" for them not to vote for him... :wtf:

And the reason why is the real kicker..."I’m a Christian. George Bush loves the Lord and is led by the spirit of the Lord. God is involved in all his decisions."

Not trying to start a religious flame war as a newbie, but beliefs aside, I don't think this administration has been led by the Holy Spirit.

For what it's worth, article is here but I think it may require registration. http://www.cantonrep.com/index.php?ID=175032&r=0&Category=11

And thanks for the welcome.
