The friggin' injustice is eating away at my soul
I just heard a quick story of Headline News - 15 seconds, at most. In January 2004 U.S. soldiers had forced two Iraqi men to jump off a bridge into the Tigris River. One drowned. Their crime, violating curfew.

Their commander has admitted that he ordered the soldiers to not discuss the incident. The commander's punishment, nothing. He was granted immunity for his testimony.

FUCK THIS GOVERNMENT.

2. I read that in today's paper...the Commander said...
they watched the two Iraqi's walk out of the river. But their families said they buried one of them...he drowned.

Who ya gonna believe? The bereived family or the admitted liars and criminals?

4. Don't worry the miltary will investigate itself.
And, we all know how trustworthy they are. Besides, the brave troops were just having a little fratboy fun. They will "regret the unfortunate incident" if the press makes too much of it. "Collateral damage" you know.

6. Again, lets be more precise.
There will be 7 investigations by the pentagon. Each one dealing with 1/7th of the case. Each one individually will find no problem or violation or crime occurred.
All's well.

One pissed off dude for each investigation

7. Read story here
FORT CARSON, Colo. - Soldiers who forced two Iraqi civilians off a bridge as punishment for missing curfew were told to cover up the incident, according to three Army commanders.

The Iraqis jumped into the Tigris River, where their family members say one of them drowned. The commanders, however, insisted no one died and said soldiers saw the civilians getting out of the water safely.

The commanders, under immunity, testified Friday on the third and final day of a hearing to determine whether three soldiers will be court-martialed.

Capt. Matthew Cunningham said soldiers under his command admitted responsibility for the Jan. 3 incident. He said the soldiers told him they had the Iraqis "get wet" and "they wanted to make them miserable a little bit and walk home."

8. What about the need for the troops to have "emotional release", (a la
Rush Limbaugh)? Doesn't that factor in as a mitigating circumstance?

10. Bush`s policies
almost defy description. When Reagan was president I used to think ....it can`t get worse than this. Guess what? It surely did.

11. sounds like you've been around for a while, like me
the last three republican presidents have progressively hit a lower point in terms of how much they have harmed the country. This os NOT a coincidence. It reflects and correlates directly with the influence of the the fundamentalist pigs in this country on the republican party. True republicans must be more depressed than us...well maybe not.

First Lt. Jack Saville and Sgt. 1st Class Tracy Perkins were charged with manslaughter, assault, conspiracy and obstruction of justice, a Fort Carson spokeswoman said.
Sgt. Reggie Martinez was charged with manslaughter, and Spc. Terry Bowman was charged with assault, the spokeswoman said.
Lt. Col. Nate Sassaman, who is the battalion commander of the soldiers' unit, has already been given a letter of reprimand for failing to report the crucial detail that his soldiers forced the two men to jump into the river.
