Another 'patient' story - less controversial than the last... |
|
Very interesting: I have a young lady who runs a restaurant, of Cambodian descent, who is a first generation American. She owns and manages the business in Philly here and was a student at Penn and always talked politics of an intersting variety. She is generally right-of-center and was vaguely pro-Bush, definitely Republican, for the 5 years I've know here. She' most intellectual, very philisophical, and very business-oriented with an eye towards a degree of what I call, Ivy-League humanism. I thing you all know what I mean by that. She came in this week and informed me that she was, unbelievably, voting for Kerry becauses of what * did with that Terror Alert a couple of Sundays ago.
I thought that was most significant because 4 years ago, there was absolutely no way she was voting for Gore. Count one more in our column.

Now if she only had the hutzpuh (sp) to let her views be known in her business establishment with a sign, logo, catchphrase, or even just a Dem emblem.... someone should buy her the bumpersticker "Former Republican, ask me why."
